ABOUT SSMS COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE

Shri Shivaji Maratha Society’s College of Architecture, established in the year 2016, is approved by Council Of Architecture, New Delhi, Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra and is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. This college of architecture has been established with the main objective of imparting quality education of the profession of Architecture to all strata of the society.

The college is located at Pune’s most convenient, prime and lush green area. The college is equipped with excellent infrastructural facilities and amenities to provide excellent training in architectural education to its students.

The college is following its activities under the guidance of Hounarable Chatrapati Shrimant Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur, as the President of the Society and Shri. Shashikant Sutar as the Honorary Secretary along with other respectable and eminent members of the society.

THE NEW BUILDING OF ARCHITECTURE COLLEGE

Pune’s one of the oldest and well known educational society, Shri Shivaji Maratha Society recently celebrated its centenary year. Since its inception, the society is well known to provide quality education. Various eminent personalities are alumni of the society. College of Architecture is one of the latest additions to the list of institutions of the Society. For the same the Society has recently completed the construction and development of a magnificent and impressive building at its Aranyeshwar Campus. It has been designed to conduct two batches of the B. Arch. and M. Arch. Program.

Its salient features are -

• Located in the heart of Pune, can be easily accessed from any part of the city.
• The college is surrounded by lush greenery and famous temples like Taljai and Aranyeshwar.
• The planning of new building of architecture complies with all the requirements of COA, New Delhi, AICTE, DTE and SPPU.
• The building has been constructed using latest technologies and is well lit and naturally ventilated structure responding to the environment.
• The building consists of 12 studios (2 divisions each of the 5 years long under graduate architecture course and a M. Arch.) library, computer lab, workshop, auditorium, material museum, construction yard, etc. it also includes all the requirements for conducting the post graduate program of Master of Architecture.
• Ample space for parking for all types of vehicles is provided on two floor levels of the building.
• It also has canteen, staff rooms, lounges, sick room, etc. for students and staff, as well.
• It houses specially designed furniture in all rooms, furnished library & digital library, computer lab equipped with the latest software, required for architectural study. Each studio has projector & screen facility.
• The building has been designed with fine details for the successful conduction for workshops, guest lectures and other such academic and allied activities.
• Hostel facility for boys and girls has also been planned for in the campus.
